This service design leverages Web-AR technology to enrich the travel experiences of backpackers visiting Taiwan. Web-AR facilitates the amalgamation of virtual and physical components, enabling users to unlock additional information and immersive encounters by scanning objects or locations using their smartphones. Through this technology, backpackers gain access to historical and cultural insights, 3D representations of landmarks, and the opportunity to engage with virtual guides. By harnessing Web-AR, the proposed service design delivers a more captivating and interactive travel experience, while simultaneously advocating for the promotion and preservation of Taiwan's cultural heritage. This project serves as a testament to the potential of emerging technologies in enhancing travel satisfaction and underscores the importance of sustainable and responsible tourism practices.
