In my role as an assistant for the Design Thinking course, I have been actively involved in implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method to teach students the five kernel steps of design thinking: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. This approach not only facilitates a deeper understanding of the design process but also encourages students to engage with interdisciplinary innovation methods in interaction design through case studies and real-world operations. The primary goals of the course include helping students gain a comprehensive understanding of interaction design methods and steps, exploring various operational models for interdisciplinary innovation, and providing hands-on experience through the analysis and execution of real case studies. By fostering an interactive learning environment, the course aims to equip students with the necessary skills and insights to navigate the complexities of interaction design effectively.
